A former jockey could land himself in hot water after tweeting a racist remark towards AFL player Adam Goodes yesterday afternoon.
The tweet was quickly deleted.
“Mr Schmitt is a registered stablehand and as such is subject to the Australian Rules of Racing including those pertaining to the use of social media,” said a Racing Victoria statement.
“Racing Victoria Stewards are aware of the offensive tweet from Mr Schmitt’s Twitter account and are currently investigating the matter.”
This is on the back of another tweet he made earlier in the year which is yet to be deleted:
