Saturday’s G1 Caulfield Stakes will be the smallest field ever for a G1 in Australia outside of match races with just three horses accepting in the race.
Champion mare Winx and Darren Weir’s star Black Heart Bart have scared off all other rivals except for He Or She.
The final acceptances for the 2016 Caulfield Stakes have closed with just the three horses accepting for the race.

Three runners now seems a good outcome with just the Champion mare Winx being the only acceptor an hour before acceptances closed.
Jake Norton the Head Of Racing at the Melbourne Racing Club has said they will proceed with the race even if there are just two runners in it, saying Darren Weir is yet to submit his acceptances for the race in which he had nominated stable star Black Heart Bart.
An hour before acceptances close @Caulfield for Saturday. One horse acc’d in the Caul Stakes. Assuming its Winx she may have to race herself

@Globalgallop @Blood1971 Stakes races exempt from such policy. Weir yard yet to submit acceptances. If it’s a two-horse race we’ll run it.
