Aim scored an upset win in a controversial edition of the Magic Millions Guineas

Punters held their breath and many screamed when the jock of the $2.15 favourite for the $2million 3YO Magic Millions, fell off her with 300m to travel.

It was simply amazing footage.

ISOTOPE was bursting through along the inside of her arch rival AWAY GAME (Snitzel-Elusive Wonder)) when she just appeared to slip slightly and Maloney had no idea what was happening, lost his balance and just, fell to the ground.

A few moments later he was standing up watching the field thunder away lamenting what might have been.

But what was, was that the $41 chance AIM (Star Witness-Vintage strike) swept down the centre of the track to roar away and win by two lengths.

Said his co-trainer Paul Snowden, β€œThis is incredible. This horse was sold to Hong Kong for less than he won today but didn’t pass the vet test.

β€œWe are so happy now. When he was turned down by them, we gelded him and well, look at him now. What a performance.”

Aim had only won two races previously from 11 starts, both as a 2YO and had, by and large, been a very disappointing horse until today.

He looked supreme in this 1400m affair, however.

Isotope kept on running with the pack and appeared uninjured by her checkered run.

AMISH BOY (Star Witness-Sheeznodoubt) who drew gate 17 and was snagged back to last until they turned, charged home late to grab 2nd.

Hughe Bowman, who in the race prior had won the big Magic millions 2YO Classic on Shaquero, rode Amish Boy capping off an amazing day.

Aim cost $200,000 as a yearling when the China Horse Club bought him. He now has won $1.3million in prizemoney.

Away Game was brave in 3rd.

The 1400m found her out 2nd out but she was beautifully ridden by Glen Boss as was the winner by James McDonald.
