Punters plunge on boom colt in the Pierro Plate

Switzerland has been smashed with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Pierro Plate (1100m) this afternoon at Randwick.

The Chris Waller trained colt was a spectacular debut winner three weeks ago and a win here could stamp himself as #2 seed behind Storm Boy for the Golden Slipper. He is at $1.65, in from $1.90.

Shangri La Express is on the second line of betting at $2.90 and they dominate betting, with Fly Fly at $10 and well tried, in from $16.

Storm Boy is the $3.00 favourite for the Slipper with betting sites ahead of Switzerland at $7 with all other horses at double figures.
