A minor setback faced by Victorian filly Eneeza last week could lead to an unexpected opportunity at the Golden Slipper on Saturday.
Co-trainer Katherine Coleman explained that their original plan to target the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes had to be abandoned due to the setback.
Instead, the setback paved the way for Eneeza to enter the prestigious juvenile race.
Coleman highlighted the significance of their decision, noting that despite the minor setback, they prioritized the filly’s well-being over risking her travel to Rosehill.
Consequently, the stable’s Brave Smash filly, She Smashes, took on the Magic Night and finished fifth on the challenging wet track.
With multiple runners aiming for Sydney races, including sprint star I Wish I Win and G2 Kewney Stakes winner Autumn Angel, the Moody/Coleman stable is poised for a busy and promising campaign.
