The highly anticipated Tattersalls Online and Inglis Digital is happening, with the Southern Hemisphere Session to feature via Tattersalls Online on 11, 12 December.

In fact, its three mares in-foal to the international sire sensation Too Darn Hot that will be promoted globally by the two of the world’s most respected bloodstock auctioneers.

“Too Darn Hot has made an extraordinary start to his career, particularly in Australia and given he is covering a limited book to Southern Hemisphere time,” said Tattersalls Katherine Sheridan.

“Opportunities to acquire a mare in foal to him are very scarce, as he’s had 11 black type horses from his first Australian crop already and they are still just spring 3-year-olds.”

“So, it’s exciting to think where things might progress to with him over the next 12-24 months, as the progeny of Too Darn Hot have enjoyed tremendous success on the racetrack.”

“Headed by Champion Australian 2-year-old and triple Group 1 winner Broadsiding, it’s also Group 1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas winner Fallen Angel and Group 1 Futurity Trophy winner Hoyazhell.”

Heading the trio of mares is the dual Group 3 placed Galileo mare Know Thyself, a dual race winner who internationally was four times Group-Listed placed including the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux.

In that, she was beaten by the five-times Group 1 star Mqse De Sevigne who defeated the international star Via Sistina in her second-last European start in the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet.

Boasting a pedigree that is well known to Southern Hemisphere breeders, being from the triple Group 2 winner Fix, by Iffraaj, and placed in Group 1 NZ 1000 Guineas and Group 1 NZ Derby.

The Group 2 placed Sedaka will attract attention, as a lightly raced winning daughter of NZ 9-time Champion sire Savabeel she was second in Group 2 Royal Stakes and Group 3 Sunline Vase.

Consigned by Watership Down Stud, she’s out of a winning half-sister to multiple Listed winner and multiple Group-Listed placed Odean, and a family of top-class Group 1 winning sprinters.

Including Brando and Reckless Abandon, its also the family of Group 1 winning 2-year- old Crowded House and International Group 1 winners Beauty Eternal, Ticker Tape and Tribalist.

The 3-year-old filly Crimson Coronet is also looking set to attract international interest, in being by Champion sire Zoustar, is sire of multiple Group 1 winners in both hemispheres.

She is out of Listed Chalice Stakes winner Crimson Rosett, who was also placed second in the Group 3 Pinnacle Stakes, and third in the Group 3 Princess Royal Stakes at Newmarket.

In being a half-sister to joint Champion Stayer Courage Mon, winner of the Group 1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, Crimson Rosette has a deep Hascombe and Valiant Studs pedigree, being closely related to Australian Listed winner Astronomo.

Also from Tattersalls is a ÂŁ50,000 donation to the Retraining of Racehorses Charity for 2024, having supported the RoR Showing Series for thoroughbreds since its inception in 2015,

“Tattersalls has been the proud sponsor of the Retraining of Racehorses Showing Series for many years,” said Chairman Edmond Mahony “and the enjoyment it brings to all involved.”

“We hope our increased commitment to such an important charity will enable the Showing Series to continue to flourish while supporting wider RoR initiatives to ensure their welfare.”

In following, David Catlow, Managing Director, Retraining of Racehorses stated “the RoR is incredibly grateful to Tattersalls for this generous support, and their long-standing commitment to the Showing Series has been invaluable.”
