Ten high-profile horses from top eastern states stables are confirmed to head west for The Pinnacles Carnival at Ascot, kicking off with the Group 1 Railway Stakes on November 23.
The contingent, departing from Sydney on Friday night, includes runners from Ciaron Maher Racing, Annabel Neasham, Bjorn Baker, Chris Waller, and Grahame Begg.
Bjorn Baker’s Overpass, a past winner at the Winterbottom Stakes, returns alongside the in-form mare Belclare, who is slated for the Railway Stakes and possibly the Gold Rush.
Ciaron Maher’s team features Light Infantry Man, fresh from a win on Oaks Day, and Queensland Oaks winner Socks Nation.
Annabel Neasham’s lineup includes Port Lockroy, Lady Laguna (Winterbottom Stakes), and Numerian, who may contest the Northerly Stakes and Perth Cup.
Grahame Begg’s Maharba joins after a Rising Fast Stakes victory, while Chris Waller’s Democracy Manifest and Mitch Freedman’s Attrition are also set to compete.
Cliff Brown may add The Inferno and Von Hauke to the travelling group, rounding out a strong eastern states representation for the Perth racing carnival.
