The Group l Memsie Stakes (1400m) this afternoon at Caulfield looks an absolute lottery on paper and that is reflected in the Ladbrokes market.
The race has had several favourites since the market opened on Wednesday but as it stands it is Alligator Blood who holds the call, sitting at $5 in a wide open race.
The second line of betting is held down by Western Empire, a half point further back. Tofane, a proven 1400m Group l performer, has been $8 to $6.50 and one of the better backed runners.
