Avantage is the rock solid favourite in the market for one of the premier races on the NZ racing calendar, the Karaka Million (1200m), to be run and won this Saturday at Ellerslie.
The Fastnet Rock filly has been very impressive in three career outings to date, winning each time and doing with improvement to come physically and mentally. Te Akau Racing has five acceptors for the race and stable rider Opie Bosson chose this girl, with the punters agreeing, backing her into $3.70 after opening $3.80.
The Michael Moroney trained She’s A Thief was really well backed a couple of days ago, into $3.70 from $4, but with the money for Avantage, she’s back to $4.00. Next best is Sword Of Osman, who opened $6 and has eased to $6.50. In terms of value, best supported has been The Real Beel ($21-$19).
