Ayrton supported to go back-to-back in the Victoria Handicap

Ayrton has been well backed in early Victoria Handicap markets

Ayrton has been the early firmer with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Victoria Handicap (1400m) this Saturday at Sandown in what is shaping up as D-Day for the gelding.

He won the race last year but hasn’t really done much since that win 12 months ago so he returns in search of a confidence boosting win and the market says he can get it. Opened $7 and has been well tried, now into $5.

Clemenceau opened the $4.80 favourite but with the support for Ayrton has eased to $5 but is rock solid. Cardinal Gem, second at Flemington last time, is at $6.50.
