Battaash remains the odds-on favourite despite drifting in King's Stand Stakes betting
Punters are somewhat looking outside the obvious when it comes to the King’s Stand (1000m), to be run and won this Tuesday at Royal Ascot.
The obvious is clearly Battaash, who gets his best chance to break the Ascot hoodoo. He opened $1.61 and has eased to $1.80, which is a bit surprising given his rating is lengths better than anything else in the field.
Last start Group l winner Glass Slippers is another that’s easy, out to $5.50 from $4.75. The one that has firmed is Liberty Beach, who opened $9.50 and has trimmed into $8.00.
