Bet One- Win- Wyong Race One Number 1 Nuclear Burst:
I can’t get Veranes so short, and much rather back Nuclear Burst. He ran in a 1200m maiden at Gosford last time out where he eventually got into the clear upon straightening and surged hard to just miss out on picking up Skyray. The form does read inferior to Veranes, but that girl was very plain last time and couldn’t back her at the price.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win at $3.6 (Crownbet)
Bet Two- Win- Wyong Race One Number 1 Waiheke:
Waiheke is a horse who I can take relatively short odds about. Debuted over the 1350m here and I thought he was quite good in defeat behind China Gale, settling back in the small field and closing off nicely late to run second. He’ll eat up the mile and a good lead/tick is that Tye Angland, fresh from a holiday, takes the steer.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win at $2.45 (Crownbet)
Bet Three- Win- Goulburn Race Three Number 7 Fluidity:
Looks a tricky meeting at Goulburn but I do believe this daughter of Tickets should take some beating. has placed in both career outings to date, the latest at this track/distance when getting back and flashing late to run second to Talladega Knight. Drew terribly that day. Hopefully she can sit closer from the good draw. Looks the one.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Gatton Race Four Number 7 Sugar Sizzle:
Back in trip but on class and form, she looks the one to beat. Angela Plumb trains this filly, who hasn’t raced since early July in a 2YO race at Doomben where she placed behind Soaring Heart and Miss Quaintly has obviously franked that form. Back to 1100m is the concern, but this race doesn’t appear to be overly strong.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Geelong Race Seven Number 4 A Good Yarn:
The concern is how much pressure does Thelburg put on in holding the front, but A Good Yarn has been an absolute revelation on the Synthetic. Has smashed the clock in his last two wins and has done it winning by big spaces. Toughest test to date here, but there are no signs of him dropping off. If Thelburg holds the lead, the confidence isn’t as high, but if he crosses and leads, he wins.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $100
