Really keen on Spender and have made him the good thing of the day. Has had three runs for Jim Jarvis and has been very good each time he has stepped out, getting better with racing. Last two have come over 1400m at Coffs, the latest when second to Galway, a former Mick Price runner who had solid Victorian form, so that does read really well for this and he’s looking for further, which he gets. Can sit in front of the main threat, Ausfail, and for mine, I don’t think that horse can give Spender a start and beat it. Will be surprised if Spender isn’t fav come jump time and the $3.20 looks more than acceptable in a thin race.
