Bet One- Win- Taree Race One Number 6 Mystic Hill:
The genuine wet track is the only concern with me, otherwise she deserves to be closer to $1.3-$1.4 than $1.80. She’s better than these. Trialled up well prior to debuting at Muswellbrook where she was left a little flat footed but picked up and was really good late when a narrow second to Brigid Of Kildare. 1400m, drops big time in depth, stable low flying on the north coast…wet track the only question mark.

Bet Two- Each Way- Taree Race Two Number 9 Oakwoods Hope:
This mare has had a couple of runs now for Terry Evans and she hasn’t been too bad each time she has stepped out, the latest at Port Macquarie when working home okay late behind Dangerous Dan. Hass’t done much in two runs on wet ground, but now with a new stable, new training style, perhaps she’ll be okay. Breeding says she should be and at near $20, she’s worth an each way ticket.

Bet Three- Each Way- Taree Race Five Number 9 Guided:
This bloke will love a rain affected track and looks the clear overs of the afternoon. Unwanted in betting when resuming at Gunnedah and despite being well held, he did make ground late and wasn’t too bad. Is a second up winner, loves a track with give in it and usually wet/dry, the inside section is usually the spot to be, so I’m more than happy to speck him.

Bet Four- Win- Taree Race Seven Number 4 Stella Sea Sun:
She looks pretty good this girl and I’m confident she can get the job done in the get out. Just missed out on the debut win over 1100m at Scone before stepping up 100m in trip there next start and she bolted in despite sitting wide. Likely wet track, but on breeding, she should swim, and the way the map reads, I think she can get three wide cover and be too sharp for them.

Bet Five- Win- Orange Race Five Number 3 Brigid Of Kildare:
Been a fan of this girl since day one and won’t be dropping off her. Off last start, visually, you’d say the 1400m is a risk, but bear in mind she had to make a searching run from about the 500m so she was there to be beaten late but found plenty and kicked hard to win, beating Mystic Hill, who I think is the good thing of the day in Taree. 1400m with a cold ride just off the pace is fine and $4.80 certainly appeals.
