Grafton
$100 Win The Good The Bad R6 @ $6 (Sportsbet)
Grafton Overview: When I did the form for the race, The Good The Bad looked a good thing. Then I saw the markets and $6? Really? Get A Rhythm is $4.20 and go back to April 8 at Ballina. That horse had every chance and tired late while The Good The Bad had no luck, got clear late and attacked the line. That just seems wrong odds IMO, and that horse has since been plain. The fav Anacreon has had 20 starts to break the maiden and is yet to do it, plus has been comfortably held of late. I think the $6 for the Kris Lees trained daughter of Reliable Man is just clear overs.
Narromine
$100 Win Vintage Flyer R1 @ $3 (Sportsbet) (Correct at 4pm Sunday)
Narromine Overview: When I first did the meeting, I wanted to wait and see what odds Vintage Flyer opened, expecting she might come up short. But $3 looks very much acceptable. On debut for Cameron Crockett and gee she’s looked sharp at the trials. Under a good hold when a close up third in the Wellington trial before going to Mudgee where she led and bolted in, and the big tick for is that when she was asked for the effort, the response was instant and there was a turn of foot. Shocked if she doesn’t start favourite here.
