Sunday Results: $97 Loss
Last 10 Days: LWWLLLWWLW
Overall Results (Since June 7): $5201 Profit
Bet One- Parlay 3,4- Gosford Race One No 6 (Win), Race Three No 7 (Win), Race Four No 12 (Place), Race Seven No 3 (Place):
I think the two to place are very safe, so hoping for a win from either of the Kris Lees runners, ideally both to win. Miss Powerbelle made a mess of them last start at Tuncurry and that form has been franked via Belle De Vega at Taree. Mystic Hill looks a really promising type. Tight track the concern but has all the upside. Vinci Lady is on debut and has trialled well, while Alier in the last should improve big time on firmer footing.
Suggested Bet: $40 = $200 Cost
Bet Two- Each Way – Gosford Race Six Number 11 Tapavino:
Not jumping up and down saying she’ll win, but I think at the odds, she’s definitely worth something small each way. Just got a mile back last time at Nowra but produced really good late splits in running fourth. Start prior she was three lengths off Tell Me at Canterbury, which reads well for this. Hoping for a hot speed, so she can sit off them and have last look at the odds.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win/$20 Place (Tote)
Bet Three- Win – Nowra Race Two Number 8 Horn:
Always on guard with Bjorn Baker at these meetings, but convinced the horse has come back well and should take some beating. Contested some really good maidens in the Winter, and last start was just under six lengths from Aramayo, who is Group l performed. Trials leading in have been great to the eye. Just want to see a market push in the last 10-15 minutes.
Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $3.1 (BetEasy)
Bet Four- Win – Nowra Race Five Number 8 Spectre:
Apologies if you were on this last start at Canberra. I was on too so I feel your pain. He looked to be absolutely bolting behind the speed and it was a case of no betting. That was the case until Brock Ryan couldn’t get him in the clear and the entire straight was a horror show. Kathy jumps on now and with any kind of better luck this time, surely he’ll go close in a thin race.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.6 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win – Warrnambool Race Four Number 2 San Remo:
Duke Of Oz has been good to me recently, but I cannot get him as short as $3 v $1.75 San Remo. Usually these 3000m+ events are saved for the best stayers, and San Remo is clearly that, so he should be winning. Was a month between runs when bolting up over 3000m at Cranbourne last time, winning by seven lengths and drawing clear late. Drops in weight and the depth here doesn’t appear that much stronger. Hopefully end 2018 with a moral. If you want a saver, I’d be backing Khezerabad.
Suggested Bet: $120 Win at $1.7 (Sportsbet) San Remo, $20 Win at $7.5 (BetEasy) Khezerabad.
Total Spend: $440
