Bet One- Win- Wyong Race Three Number 4 lady Of Shalott:
Lady Of Shalott is a well bred daughter of Camelot resuming for Kris Lees. She showed really good promise as a two year old and in her lone run as a three year old, with some form around some lovely types, namely Pretty In Pink. Liked the way she went in a recent Wyong trial and was nominated for a couple of races in town last weekend, so there might well be intent for a decent first up showing.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.6 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win Parlay 3,4- Caulfield Race One No 5/Race Two No 9/Race Four No 4/Race Five No 7:
Here’s hoping for a collect. Royal Performance was well backed on debut at Hamilton but had no luck and you could make a case he should have won when third to Coronel. Keen on him in the first. Somnium has taken a while to break the maiden status but she gets a great chance in the second off an excellent resumption. Bob of the head was the only thing that beat Von Mystic at Hamilton and he finds a very winnable race. The best version of Montaser would see him win the fifth and appears overs at around the $7 mark.
Suggested Bet: $20 = $100 Cost
Bet Three- Each Way- Strathalbyn Race Three Number 6 Baker’s Dozen:
Baker’s Dozen is a Simon Bates trained mare who has had a few homes over the last 12 months or so but is now with Bates. She resumed at Strathalbyn and was okay in what looked a strong midweek race won by proven city performer Lucky Flipper. At her best, she’s certainly capable of winning. Market might well be the best guide.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W (Tote)
Bet Four- Each Way- Strathalbyn Race Six Number 1 Canford:
Canford looks a handy gelding for Ryan Balfour. He hasn’t raced since scoring win number two over the 1550m on the Parks track back in July and there was a touch of dominance and class about it. Thought he trialled well last Monday and I always like horses who trial and race in under 10 days. He’s certainly one to watch.
Suggested Bet: $20 E/W (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Ascot Race Four Number 4 Seeking Alpha:
This looks the good thing of the day. At the time of writing, there were no odds up, but it could well be a case oif any price for him. Formerly with the Busuttin/Young stable, she’s had a couple of runs in WA for Lindsey Smith and has been quite keen in each run, lacking any dash in the end. That leaves me with doubts about her at 1500m if she pulls hard again, but ability wise, she has lengths on these.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $290
