The Joe Pride-trained Eduardo is headed to The TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on October 17 with MiRunners selecting the seven-year-old gelding for their slot in the world’s richest race on turf after their original selection Rothfire suffered an injury in last Saturday’s Golden Rose.
Eduardo who is currently $21 at TAB for The TAB Everest has attracted good support throughout all-in betting on The Everest including a single bet of $10,000 at $34 to collect $340,000 if he wins.
Eduardo is a dual Group 2 winner having saluted in the 2018 Caulfield Sprint and last August’s Missile Stakes at Rosehill and was placed at Group 1 level with a third in the 2019 Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield.
Eduardo finished second to Classique Legend in The Shorts over 1100 metres at Randwick on September 19.
TAB’s representative for The TAB Everest, Nature Strip, is currently the $3.50 favourite.
