Leading online bookmaker William Hill believes the market has it wrong with the odds of current favourite Tarzino in Saturday’s Victoria Derby at Flemington.
Rival bookmakers have the 3-year-old colt as short as $2.30 today, but William Hill’s Trading Director Johnny Aitken says WilliamHill.com.au will be leading the way and sitting at the top of the fixed odds market on Tarzino right up until the jump at $3.
“First time out to 2500m is a query for young three-year-olds and favourites are so often over bet in this race, the last being Efficient way back in 2006,” Aitken said.
“So we’re really putting the shoulders back here. We’re taking on everyone as we really think the market has lost the plot on this one.”
