First Immortal heavily backed Mornington Cup favourite

First Immortal holds the call with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Mornington Cup (2400m) this afternoon.

The Team Kavanagh trained gelding was beaten in the Easter Cup two weeks ago but had clear excuses and looks suited up to 2400m. Opened $4.50 and is the $4.20 favourite.

Nereus has been the firmer at odds, into $6.50 from $7. Strawberry Rock is a half point further back with betting apps.
