Mr Maestro has been the subject of a significant push with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Cairns Cup (2100m) this afternoon.
The former Kiwi was a real eye catcher in the Newmarket last week but when he was nominated for the Cup, most assumed he wouldn’t run given the sharp distance rise. But, he’s here and gets leading rider Ryan Wiggins on board, and the move has been big in betting. Opened $14 and got to as short as $3.30 but is now at $3.50.
Mahagoni opened the $3.70 favourite but is now at $4.60, narrowly ahead of Cashin Chex at $4.80. Warp Speed is $4.20 to $6 with betting apps.
