Gai Waterhouse stayer heads odds in the Canberra Cup

So United just holds the call with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Canberra Cup (2000m) this afternoon in what looks an open race.

The GaiBott trained stayer was solid in defeat last time out in the Parramatta Cup and fitter, up to 2000m, it points to him being hard to beat and the market agrees, having him at $3.

Almania is hot on his heels at $3.60 on the second line of betting, with Lord Ardmore at $4.40, narrowly ahead of Redstone Well at $4.60.
