RACE ONE
The early money told the story with Time Is Precious getting the job done. TAB went up $15 on Wednesday and that was quickly snapped up with $8 available for most of the betting thereafter.
Postcode ($1.80-$1.60-$1.95) was easily the best backed and held 61 percent of the total investment. Tommy Gold ($7-$5.50) and Murungal ($9.50-$8) were firmers also.

RACE TWO
A handful of big bets late came for Maid Of Ore which was TAB’s second worst result in the race.
The winner was $8-$6.50 late and was third most popular in terms of the hold behind Angel Of Heaven ($2.90-$3.60) and Humboldt Current ($3.50-$3.70).
Of the others, Johnny Vinko ($6-$4.60) firmed up as did Miss Moana ($23-$17-$19). Duchess Of Lennox drifted from $6 in the morning to $8.50 at the jump.

RACE THREE
Very open TAB Highway with Gumshoe holding the most money. Was $11 on Wednesday and today was into $5.50 favourite after the top elect Burning Crown was scratched at the barriers.
Zardoro ($26 earlier in the week) was $14-$8 today in one of the better moves in the race.
Feel The Knight was $26-$19 late while Lady Demi was $15-$10.

RACE FOUR
Akari ($6.50-$8-$7.50) was kept safe by TAB.
Special Snap ($6-$4-$4.20) and Betcha Flying ($6-$5.50) held the lion’s share between them while Still Single ($6) had backing at the eachway quote. Mayaaseh ($10-$17-$12) This ended up being one of the best betting races all day.

Handle The Truth was pretty solid throughout the day at the $7.50 mark which is what he jumped at.
The Keith Dryden runner was the fourth most popular runner in terms of money taken, with only Victorem ($2.50-$2.70), Noble Boy ($6.50) and Notation ($6.50-$5-$5.50) holding more.

RACE SIX
Most of the money in the Sydney Stakes (1200 metres) was on Brutal.
Nearly 65 percent of the market was with the Doncaster winner who went around with nearly seven times as much money as second favourite, Champagne Cuddles ($8-$7).
Deprive hovered around the $9.50-$10 mark for most of the day before starting at the former quote.

RACE SEVEN – TAB Everest
Yes Yes Yes had a number of big bets riding on it in the TAB Everest.
The most notable bets were a few at $2,000 to collect $19,000 while several eachway bets also needed his backers a handy return.
Santa Ana Lane ($4.60-$5) was clearly the most popular horse with TAB Fixed Odds, going around with 22 percent of the money in the book since Wednesday.
Next most popular horses in terms of hold were Arcadia Queen ($5), Pierata ($6.50-$7.50), Redzel ($10-$13), Alizee ($13-$8.50), Sunlight ($13) and then Yes Yes Yes.

TAB were made to pay out big time as the ever popular Happy Clapper saluted in the Craven Plate (2000 metres).
Thanks to a constant stream of support throughout the day, including from one customer that collected a tick over $70,000, Happy Clapper ripped out six figures from TAB coffers.
The Pat Webster runner went around with nearly twice as much money as any other runner, with Samadoubt ($3.40-$4.60) and Danzdanzdance ($10-$5), the latter a big firmer, next best.
Happy Clapper was $3.40-$3.70 on the day.

RACE NINE
They got the money with Hush Writer after it was one of the best movers on the card at Randwick today.
The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott runner was $9.50 at 9am but by the time the St Leger Stakes (2600 metres) jumped, $6 was the best on offer.
Gallic Chieftain ($4.40) was backed into favouritism after the early fav Come Play With Me went $4-$6.50 on the day. Of the others, Youngstar ($8.50-$6) firmed as did Carif ($19-$13) at a price.

Punters were on the money with the most popular horse getting the money.
Pretty Brazen ($3.10-$2.80-$3.20) held 36 percent of the money and was a losing result for TAB. Ready Set Sail was $10-$5.50 and was next best supported with 25 percent of the total investment.
Charleise ($7), Stay Gold ($9.50) and Tubby Two Tracks ($8) had their share of support too.

Alabama Express prevented TAB from a horror show after it saluted in the third event.
The Mike Moroney runner had its admirers and was $10-$8 on the day, however, Hilo ($3.30) was the one most punters were with. The Godolphin horse held 55 percent of the total investment.
Triton Rising ($7.50) had admirers, Heirborn ($4-$6.50) was a noted drifter and Nicconi Storm ($34-$16) was specked at long odds.

Humma Humma was one of two significant movers in the race.
Opening the day at $6, she was backed into $5 while Vinicunca ($10-$4.80) more than halved its quote from 9am.
Soothing had attracted most of the money but drifted throughout the afternoon from $2.80-$3.60.
Soothing held 40 percent of the investment while Vinicunca was responsible for a quarter of the market.

RACE SIX
Gamay saved TAB from a huge payout on Vegas Jewel in the Ethereal Stakes (2000m).
The winner, trained by Archie Alexander and ridden by Declan Bates, touched $10 at one stage today before consistent support saw it firm into $7. She was on the third line of betting.
Vegas Jewel was carrying the hopes of many punters after being backed from $4.40-$3.50, with all the big money late being for the Mark Kavanagh runner.
Vegas Jewel was responsible for 45 percent of the total investment. Celestial Falls ($3.60-$4.80) drifted thanks to the support for the favourite.

Mclaren ($8.50) had strong eachway support especially in the final five minutes of betting.

Mer De Glace had good backing throughout the day and was one of the more popular runners in the Caulfield Cup (2400 metres).
The Japanese galloper went around at $8 after hovering between $7.50-$8.50 for most of the day.
Constantinople ($7-$6-$6.50) was backed into favouritism, displacing Finche ($6.50-$7) which attracted the most money in the race and the biggest bet with TAB Fixed Odds ($20,000 @ $7).
Hartnell ($19-$23), Mr Quickie ($8), Vow And Declare ($8) and Wolfe ($23) were next most popular in that order.

In a great betting race it was the ‘other’ Godolphin horse which got the money.
Savatiano ($7.50) landed some nice wagers but it was stablemate Pohutukawa ($4) which was largely in the sights of punters, going around with 30 percent of the market.
Invincibella ($10) was popular again as was Angelic Ruler ($5.50-$8) and Jamaican Rain ($11-$8.50) which firmed up late. Baccarat Baby ($8.50) held good sizable bets too.
