The inaugural edition of the Alan Brown Stakes (1400m) this afternoon at Rosehill looks a lottery on paper and that is reflected in the Ladbrokes.com.au market.
The market is $5 the field, headed by Waterford, who was scratched from the Epsom last Saturday to be saved for this. He was good in defeat last time in the Shannon behind Cepheus, who sits on the second line of betting, a point further back.
The firmer at odds has been Detonator Jack, who is next best. The Maher/Eustace gelding opened $10 and has been a firmer throughout betting, now sitting at $7.50. Cotehele is a point further back.
