January Cup looks a lottery for punters

The January Cup (2000m) this Saturday at Rosehill looks a lottery on paper and that is reflected in the Ladbrokes.com.au market for the Listed race.

Favourite as it stands is the class runner of the field, Berdibek, who gets to 2000m and has upside. He’s at $6 and holds the call, just, over Aleas at $6.50, with stablemate Bonny Ezra a half point further back.

Mission Phoenix rises in grade/depth but is hard fit and in form and is a fighter. He’s had interest at odds, into $8 from $10.
