Champion mare Winx won thirty three races in a row but a punter with Ladbrokes think Labor are a safer bet than arguably Australia’s best ever racehorse.
Online bookmaker Ladbrokes have reported they have taken their second biggest ever bet on Bill Shorten’s Labor to win next weekends election with the punter placing a whopping $1million dollars on the party to win at $1.23 to pocket $230,000 profit.
The bet puts all Winx bets to shame with the biggest single win bet on the Champion mare being $370,000.
“We’ve obviously seen some sizeable bets come through in recent times, many of them on Winx, but clearly this gentleman thinks the Labor Party is a safer bet than the now retired mighty mare,” Ladbrokes Australia chief executive, Jason Scott said.
