The reigning Sydney Cup winner Knights Order has been the subject of good each way backing with Ladbrokes for the Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington on Tuesday.
Knights Order has been always thereabouts in the market but as race time gets closer, punters are warming to him, and with a speed rival, Point Nepean, scratched, he is being backed, now into $16 from $21.
Deauville Legend holds the call and is rock solid at $3.60, in from $3.80. He dominates betting, with Realm Of Flowers next best at $9.50, and they are the lone runner at single figures.
