Might And Power 2024 – Field Preview, Odds, Horses, Speed Map and Betting Tips

The first of the majors at Caulfield this Saturday is the Might And Power (2000m) where Mr Brightside stifles the market.

Down below is a speed map, runner preview and $100 betting strategy for the 2024 Might And Power.

2024 Might And Power Speed Map

They rode Deny Knowledge with a sit in the Underwood but she races best on speed and with the lead hers for the taking, I think she’ll get front end control. Adelaide River likely gets the sit in behind and Mr Brightside, it will be fascinating if Williams gets off the fence from gate one.

2024 Might And Power Runner Preview:

1. Mr Brightside: Mr Brightside just looks to have plenty on these. He comes through the Feehan where he was as game as ever, but once again, he had to run second to his arch nemesis, Pride Of Jenni. He’ll love the rise to 2000m, the depth here is nowhere near as strong, he has been set for this race en route to the Cox Plate…he should be winning.

2. Vow And Declare: He ran a super race in this event last year and was a total forgive in the Underwood given he was on shifty ground and was wide throughout. Much better set up here, I think he’s a big improver.

3. Kalapour: Jury is out on him and how well he’s going I feel. Looked not much hope last weekend in The Metropolitan and I say this is a tune up run towards something. What that something is, no idea.

4. Adelaide River: He had a big wrap on him when coming across from overseas…but honestly, in four runs, he has done nothing, and was terrible in the Kingston Town. For mine, he should be the rank outsider.

5. Atishu: She is the other class runner of the field. That said, I was very surprised to see her accept after the run last Saturday in the Turnbull where she was good, but was held late, and if she was mine, I’d freshen her up for the Empire Rose. But, who am I to doubt Chris Waller. If he’s happy to back her up, she’s to be included in the numbers.

6. Deny Knowledge: Deny Knowledge does her best racing on speed so if that eventuates, she’s dangerous as a place prospect. She resumed in the Underwood when ridden with a sit and battled away well enough in defeat I thought behind Bucksroo. Fitter and up in trip, more positive ride, she can finish top three.

7. Jennilala: Can press forward but she’s not up to these and similar to Adelaide River, I feel she is way unders and should be much, much longer in the market. Not a G1 WFA horse.

8. Coco Sun: Coco Sun is ticking along beautifully. She has been good in both runs back, the latest being three weeks ago in the Underwood where she got back in the run and made up solid headway late in the piece behind Buckaroo. Up to 2000m I like and is a good place chance.
