Elwick Stakes winner Needs Sugar is odds on with Ladbrokes.com.au to win another Stakes race this afternoon at Launceston, this one being the Gold Sovereign Stakes (1200m).
The Stuart Gandy trained filly was a strong winner of the Elwick Stakes last time and despite drawing tricky, she is clearly the one to beat. Opened $1.85 and has remained rock solid at $1.90.
Cairns has been the firmer in early betting, into $3.70 from $4 and sits on the second line of betting. They have a good hold on betting, with next best being Positive Press at $9.50, who is on debut.
