Over The Odds 1/6/2024 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Rosehill Race One Number 11 Eye Pea Oh ($13):

Eye Pea Oh is an each way bet for me here. Team Freedman trained mare that comes through the Midway from three weeks ago at Newcastle. She got back to near last in the run, was forced wide, but kept finding the line in a really good effort against the pattern behind Navy Blood. That was at 1200m and I do feel that 1100m is perfect for her. Positive ride, she’ll take beating.

Rosehill Race Three Number 13 Amarantz ($18):

Amarantz brings the A1 form and has good upside for Danielle Seib. Completely unwanted in betting when resuming at the midweeks on the Kenso but she ran a very credible returning race I thought, closing off from off the speed to run second to dominant all the way winner Ningaloo Star. Fitter and up in trip, back to Highway grade, she appeals big time.

Rosehill Race Ten Number 18 Heuristic ($19):

I do like Heuristic as a horse and am going to be very forgiving of his last start, which came at Newcastle three weeks ago when wide no cover throughout and on testing ground, he just whacked to the line behind Sir Ravanelli but was far from disgraced in defeat. Think with a better run in transit and on a firmer deck, he’ll take beating.

Eagle Farm Race Three Number 9 Alegron ($17):

Alegron looks like he is flying under the care of Bjorn Baker and third up at 2400m, he’s going to take beating here. He comes through the Chairmans from two weeks ago. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he worked home with real purpose in a strong effort behind Spirit Ridge. Up to 2400m, good upside to come, bigger track, he’s a great gamble.
