Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Caulfield Race One Number 11 Waltham ($35):
Waltham has to be given another look. Matty Smith trained gelding that resumed behind Matusalem a few weeks back. He was trucking in the run out the back and on the turn, looked like he would loom and threaten, but he plodded and was plain. Poor post race recovery so he had an excuse and he trialled too well prior so I am giving him another look.
Caulfield Race Nine Number 1 Depth Of Character ($15):
Depth Of Character is a very smart animal for the Neasham/Archibald camp that resumes. This guy was a dumbo as a two year old but he clearly showed above average ability, albeit not sure how strong the form is around him, but he has come back, trialled well enough at Randwick but his jumpout last week at Pakenham was sparkling. Very keen to see how he goes.
Gold Coast Race Two Number 8 Jupitus ($15):
Chris Waller trained gelding that resumed three weeks ago over 1350m at Doomben where he got back in the run and made up minimal headway, laying in under pressure behind Blakmax. Fitter and up in trip, home track advantage, he’s an improver for sure.
Randwick Race Nine Number 5 Bandi’s Boy ($91):
Going to have a throw at the stumps via Bandi’s Boy. He ran two weeks ago in the Concorde where he was back, wide, and in a race dominated by up/in, he was never a winning threat, but did make up ground in a good effort. He’ll get a suck run off the hot speed and be strong late…I don’t think a win would shock at all.
