Over The Odds 6/7/2024 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Randwick Race Eight Number 9 Junipal ($14):

Each way here for me via Junipal. He’s one of the better wet trackers going around and has been crying out for wet ground hence why Maher brings him here, looking for rain. I dare say the wetter the better, and I am hoping the rain does hit and hit hard. He’s sneaky flying this horse and with conditions to suit here, on the minimum, will be strong late. Going to take the gamble.

Sunshine Coast Race Seven Number 10 Lavish Empire ($16):

Happy to on at odds with Lavish Empire. This is a tough ask first up given his rating and overall form, but he looks to be humming for Team Snowden. He swims and gee his trial win at Randwick was one of the more impressive efforts of the morning. First up at 1400m is clear intent for mine, and with the set up, he can be backed with confidence each way.

Sunshine Coast Race Eight Number 9 Port Philip ($46):

Was hoping he’d be missed and they’d put up $101+, but the bookies did see the sneaky good run from Port Philip in the Ipswich Cup. Lost his spot on the turn and lost momentum but picked up and was good to/through the line. He swims, he’ll love the bigger track and he might just be enjoying new surroundings, away from Victoria. Happy to speck each way.

Flemington Race Eight Number 3 King Magnus ($13):

King Magnus is dangerous. He comes through the Munhamek race from two weeks back where he had a suck run in transit from the gate and kept finding the line in a solid effort behind Munhamek. He has that 1600m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.
