Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Rosehill Race Two Number 2 Nordic ($10):
Nordic is a John O’Shea trained import who is a coming winner and that win could well come here. He ran over 2000m at Kembla two weeks ago where he was ridden cold from the tricky gate and given the scenario, Tommy rode a very good race but the pattern of the day was against him in the end when fourth to Mr Reckless. Has plenty of upside and is hard to beat.
Rosehill Race Three Number 9 Up The Stairs ($23):
I think he’s a bet here each way Up The Stairs. Would be great to see Terry Evans get a Highway win on the board after the nightmare he has had in recent times with the bushfires. This horse ran last week at Port Macquarie when contesting an Open Handicap and ran a beauty in defeat I thought when second to impressive winner Mister Smartee. Fitter, up in trip, and with a more conservative steer, he’ll take some beating.
Rosehill Race Four Number 7 Dark Pearl ($13):
Dark Pearl is another with upside and comes here off the back of an impressive win last Wednesday at Warwick Farm. Admittedly, he got the A1 run in transit, but still had to produce a sharp turn of foot to win, and he did under J Mac, winning well. He was a few weeks between runs there, so he’s got plenty of room for improvement.
Pakenham Race Six Number 4 Choisborder ($11):
I’ll take a punt on Choisborder, a former Darren Weir galloper that is having his first run for the Maher/Eustace team. This guy hasn’t raced in nearly a year since contesting the Gold Bullion at Pakenham when slow to recover and pulling up lame behind Amadeus. His best is clearly good enough and looked pretty good in a recent Terang jumpout, and in a piece of work at the Valley, but market will be the guide.
