Action has been heavily backed to win Saturday's Perth Cup
The Pike/Williams/Peters combo has been lethal in the Perth features during the Carnival and Sportsbet.com.au punters are confident their winning run will continue in the Perth Cup (2400m) this Saturday.
With Galaxy Star not running, Pike has elected to ride Action, and despite being beaten last Saturday, he’s clearly the best backed to win this Saturday, into $2.50 now after opening $3.
The horse that beat him home, and comfortably for mine, in Mississippi Delta, is at $5.50 and unchanged. That does seem a bit of value. There is also value about the class runner of the field Gatting, who is a $6 chance, even allowing for the horror draw and weight.
