Press Down heads odds in wide open Christmas Handicap field

Press Down has been well supported with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Christmas Handicap (1200m) this afternoon at Morphettville.

The Peter Hardacre trained gelding hasn’t raced since Derby Day at Flemington when down the track but fresh legs, back to this level, he looks hard to beat and the market agrees, having him at $5.50, in from a high of $7 with online betting companies.

He is equal favourite alongside Prairie Flower, who is rock solid at around the $5.50 mark. Dubai Poet is first up and has admirers at $7, in from $8.50.
