Punters crunch star mare in the Tancred Stakes

Ranvet runner up Montefilia is favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Tancred Stakes (2400m) this afternoon at Rosehill.

The David Payne trained multiple Group l winning mare was no match for Dubai Honour last Saturday in the Ranvet but hard fit now and up to 2400m, she appeals on paper and the market says she is the one to beat. Opened $3.80 and touched $5.50 but has settled at $3.90.

Gold Trip is on the second line of betting at $4, while overseas raider Clevelend has had interest at odds, into $8 from $11.
