Constantinople is the horse punters want to back in the Caulfield Cup

In a Caulfield Cup that looks almost impossible to find the winner, punters have singled out an import having it’s first start in Australia in the race as their plunge horse.

Imported stayer Constantinople has been smashed by punters a day out from the $5m handicap with a flood of money coming for the Lindsay Park trained ex UK galloper.

Constantinople was a $13 chance prior to the Caulfield Cup field being announced then wen’t to $10 following the final field and is now into $6.50 equal favourite with strong support continuing at the trimmed up price.

Finche is only just hanging onto equal favouritism for the race but has been easy at every turn since drawing a horror barrier with his opening price of $5.00 now out to $6.50.

Japanese stayer Mer De Grace is another horse on the drift since the barrier draw, he is $6.50 out to $8.50 with Mr Quickie and Vow And Declare the other runners in single figures at $7.50 and $8.00 and solid.
