Punters plunge on Rothfire at big odds in The Buffering

Rothfire has been the subject of a significant push with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Buffering (1400m) this afternoon at Eagle Farm.

Trainer Rob Heathcoate would love to win the race named in honour of his former champion with his current #1 horse in his stable, Rothfire, and he has been well tried for this afternoon, now sitting as the $4 favourite after opening $11 with online betting companies.

Transatlantic is hot on his heels at $4.20, with Tamerlane at $6.50. A host of runners are at $7.50, including Ingham winner Robusto.
