Punters stage plunge on the Launceston Cup

Excelleration has been smashed with Ladbrokes.com.au betting for the Launceston Cup (2400m) this afternoon and is now favourite.

The Richard Cully trained stayer was nominated for the Hobart Cup but has been kept on ice with this race in mind. He opened $6.50 and has been smashed, now the $3.30 favourite.

He is now favourite over two time reigning champ Aurora’s Symphony at $3.40, who is rock solid. Alhambra Lad is at $5 and next best.
