Shillelagh has been a key firmer in Doncaster Mile markets
The 2000m back to 1600m formula has been a successful one for Chris Waller and with that in mind, Shillelagh has tightened in to take out the Group One Doncaster Mile.
The multiple Group l winning mare contested the Australian Cup where she was off the bit a fair way out but stuck to the task really well in defeat and in the end was only beaten a lip by Harlem. She has a fab record at the mile and looks well placed, so she’s been $51-$26.
The Autumn Sun is the $3.50 favourite, but it’s unknown as to where he will head after Golden Slipper Day and what path he takes. Alizee is at $8 but what she does will be known after the All Star Mile.
