Anamoe will start as the short priced favourite in the Cox Plate
Punters are keen on a star four year old to take out the feature race at The Valley this afternoon, the Cox Plate (2040m).
Anamoe ran a narrow second in this race last year and is looking for redemption 12 months on. He opened $2.30 and has been very rock solid since markets opened, sitting at $2.35.
The firmer has been the import El Bodegon, who is at $5.50 on the second line of betting, in from $7. Zaaki has been a notable drifter, opening $4 and is now at $7.
