Jamie Kah went up $51 when TAB opened its market on this season’s Melbourne Jockeys’ Premiership, but there are no such fancy odds about her winning the 2021/22 title.
TAB today released its market on next season’s Melbourne Jockeys’ Premiership with Kah the $1.80 favourite. Craig Williams and Damian Lane share the second line at $6.
TAB also today settled bets on Kah, who has 101 Victorian city wins to her name, to win this season’s award, 19 days before the end of the season.
“Jamie is over the line, leading by 38 with five meetings remaining, so those who were smart enough to find her shouldn’t have to wait until the end of the season to collect their winnings,” TAB’s Brad Bishop said.
One shrewd punter had $50 on Kah at the opening price on Day 1 of the season, while the biggest bet taken on Kah was $2700 at $2.80, for a return of $7560, on October 28 when she had ridden 24 winners and led the premiership by six wins.
