The money on The Everest has come for the class horse in the race I Wish I Win who has attracted multiple big bets in a wide open field.
“The way it’s trending it’s looking like I Wish I Win will definitely start favourite,” TAB senior trader Tim Ryan said on Friday.
“He’s twice as popular as Joliestar so he’s back into $5.50, but it’s such an open race and I’ve got it by far the most open TAB Everest in the race’s history.
“Joliestar is holding OK at $6 but I’m expecting there to be a flood of money for on Saturday with the James McDonald factor and overseas interest.
“Growing Empire has been a little bit soft $7 out to $8, while Traffic Warden was $9 into $7 and I got him back out to $8.50 on Friday morning.
“There was a flood of money for him at that price so he’s back into $8 now.
“Bella Nipotina found her mark at $9 and she’s back into $8.50, while the money has continued for Sunshine in Paris and she’s been one of the better backed runners, so she’s $11 into $9 now today.
“I Am Me continues to be well backed at $15 but I feel like that’s her price and she can’t be too much shorter than that.”
