A strong bunch of short course sprinters will battle it out for $1 Million prizemoney for The Magic Millions Syndicate (1100m) this Saturday at the Gold Coast.

2025 Magic Millions Syndicate Runner Preview:
1. Prince Of Boom: Prince Of Boom has done little wrong in two runs this prep and has to be respected. Each run has come on heavy ground, the latest coming in the Lough Neagh when leading and giving a solid kick but just had no answers late for Cifrado. Firmer deck, good record here, hard to beat.
2. Golden Boom: He has been kept on ice since winning the Bribie at Eagle Farm where credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found and finished best to win. Freshened up for this race and his tick over trial was quite sharp.
3. Garza Blanca: Garza Blanca can a much improved race for Ciaron Maher. Race shape was against him last time at Caulfield so a total forgive. Stable is humming in QLD at present and this guy will be in a similar boat to Derry Grove. Off speed and strong late. Can win.
4. King Kapa: Ran above market expectation in the Falvelon and tried hard, just missing out on the win when a close up third. Maps to stalk teh hot and be strong late. Definite knockout winning hope.
5. Derry Grove: Derry Grove looks ready to rock and roll in search of defending his title from last year. He looks prepped right up for this, with two trials under the belt and each time he has looked pretty good. Nash rode in the first trial, he won on the horse last year and he is back on for this. Hard to beat.
6. The Novelist: Has been freshened up since the Wyong Magic Millions when leading and giving a very strong sight but was run down late by Bauhinia. He will have to do work from the wide gate to cross but he’s tough and stable is flying.
7. Zou Sensation: Lacks the class but the end of the hard 1100m is fine. He ran over 1200m at Caulfield Heath when held up at times but got out and tried hard, just finding Inhibitions too good. Maps to stalk and a win wouldn’t shock.
8. Baroqie Road: Didn’t have the best of luck in this race last year and has been spelled, resuming in this race, so that does signal some form of intent. But, this looks a hot race and I doubt he has the class.
9. Payline: Nice horse but is eligible for much easier.
10. Drums Of War: Better suited at Newcastle on a Saturday vs here.
11. Bezique: There has been clear intent with this mare to get her here. Resumed with an arrogant win two weeks ago to get the run under the belt with this race in mind. She has the class/quality and is a short course specialist. Dangerous.
12. Greyzous: Home track advantage but is a Saturday provincial horse at best at this stage.

Backing two horses here who will sit off speed and be strong late. $50 on both Derry Grove and Garza Blanca.
