The Hayes/Dabernig trained Vega Magic has opened as the short priced favourite in Saturday’s Group 1 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield racecourse.
Twelve horses have accepted for the field in which there are nine individual Group 1 winners but despite the quality of the race the last start regal Roller Stakes winner ‘Vega Magic’ heads the market by a clear margin over his rivals at $2.50 after opening at $2.60.
Sydney galloper Le Romain is the clear second elect at $5.50 ahead of Hey Doc at $6.50 and Black Heart Bart at $7.00.
Cox Plate placegetter Yankee Rose makes her long awaited return in the race and she has been slightly easy in early markets after opening at $8.50 she is now $9.00.
