William Pike won't ride in the Perth Cup
Midnight Blue heads the Sportsbet.com.au market for the Perth Cup (2400m) this Saturday at Ascot.
The stayer was supposed to be ridden by Willie Pike but him being forced to stand down due to the Covid situation. That aside, the horse is in form and looks suited, heading the market at $4.00 but has been easy in betting since the Pike news broke.
Pure Devotion is on the second line of betting at $4.40, clear of Platoon at $7, with ATA Stakes winner Stafford’s Lad next best at $8.50.
