Whip rule comes under fire again

The whip rule is set to come under fire once again with jockey Michael Dee being fined for overuse of the whip on Anzac Day where his ride dead heated in Race 4 at Flemington.

The rule surrounding over use of the whip continues to come under fire and that will happen once again after Victorian Stewards fined Michael Dee $750 for overuse for his ride on Orcein who dead heated with Nordic Symphony but failed to put in a protest.

Despite being fined for overuse of the whip on Orcein, stewards did not file a protest against the horse on behalf of the owners of Nordic Symphony and Orcein shared first place in the race.
