Punters have been left scratching their heads after a protest in the final race of the Ararat meeting was dismissed by stewards.
The drama unfolded when the Mick Sell trained Ardra Storm began to lay in and then overreacted to the use of the whip by jockeyΒ Craig Robertson.
Ardra Storm then veered sharply causing heavy interference to the runner upΒ Our Wando.
It didn’t take long for punters to voice their disgust on social media, including one punter who had backed Our Wando at $91.

I would nearly go the extreme of saying that was the worst decision I have seen in racing. #ararat

That is an unbelievable decision to dismiss the protest in Ararat race 8.
