Dusty will miss his horse in Saturday's Victoria Derby because of Riewoldt's wedding
Dustin Martin has won almost every accolade there is to win on the football field this year and now the Richmond star has set his sights on the Melbourne Cup Carnival although team mate Jack Riewoldt is out to spoil the party.
Main Stage is part-owned by the Brownlow Medalist along with assistant coach Andrew McQualter and several other teammates.
The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained three-year-old is one of the favourites for the $1.5 million Victoria Derby and despite a drift in betting it won’t stop the Tiger Army from jumping on board.
Unfortunately for the ‘Dustys Boys’ syndicate, the Derby will clash with teammate Jack Riewoldt’s wedding which is taking place in Tasmania so they won’t be on track to celebrate if Main Stages gets up.
Main Stage opened up as the $4.80 favourite in the Victoria Derby but a drift has seen him move to the second line of betting at $6.50.
