After dismounting from MERCURY (Brazen Beau – Jerezana) at Canberra today, singing superstar Robbie Dolan said a single was on its way.
The jock, who judiciously moved Mercury around heels and through a small gap before urging him into full stride to win at Canberra, was very pleased with the run.
And just as happy with the music news.
“On top of the ground this horse can show you what he can do and the drying track helped today,” he said of Mercury who stormed home paying $15 to win over 1300m fro trainer Richard Litt who described the horse as an ATM.
But Dolan was then asked about his experience on the smash hit TV show, The Voice, which has catapulted his singing talents in front of Australia.
“It was a tremendous experience,” he said. “The whole industry and people involved were wonderful to me and I may be releasing some new music a bit later this year.”
Already two of his The Voice performances are available to download on Spotify and the news of his single release may well launch him into an alternate career universe.
Swimming as Cody Simpson, the butterfly star who had major pop hits, and now has 2.8million followers and listeners on Spotify, and racing looks like following suit with Robbie Dolan.
